Introducción
Las malformaciones vasculares siguen siendo las enfermedades vasculares más difíciles de tratar, fundamentalmente cuando se topografían en la mano y/o en el antebrazo.1
Se reconocen varios tipos de malformaciones vasculares congénitas: el hemangioma infantil, término usado habitualmente para denominar los tumores benignos vasculares endoteliales encontrados en la infancia o adolescencia.6
La etapa proliferativa de estas lesiones es seguida por una involución gradual que es espontánea y comienza al año de edad, desapareciendo a los 12 años en la mayoría de los pacientes.3
